heres the pedals..notice the rad clamp gas pedal safety...and the block of wood under the clutch..the owner said that everyone was blowing clutches because the clutch was engaging too far..(or something like that)...and this fixed the problem...also notice the tunnel...looks like a few driveshafts whacked it once or twice!!!

Interesting - that decklid appears to have the correct 1967 emblems on it and no spoiler in the first picture, but in the picture of the underside it appears to have more holes in the underframe than I have seen on 1967 decklids, enough to allow for installatio of a spoiler. Can you tell if the decklid may have been swapped for another car at some time? Are there date codes stamped into it?

I'm not familiar with thier location, but I'll check...I have a pic of the decklid thats a bit closer...you now have me curious...I have 2 other 67 camaros..how would i tell the difference?? i do remember something about the holes for the spoiler on the later cars...the problem is, at this point, who really knows whats original on my cars...it is rather curious to me that the spoiler on this car underneath is bolero red...although i guess it could have been changed early on..and painted to match the car in it's original paint..I would not doubt anything with this car.Although it has real low miles(a quarter maile at a time)...the i suspect the original owner changed everything and anything if he could get a slight advantage...it was a real experience sitting down with him for a few hours one night for dinner and listening to him just reminiscing"...what an encyclopedia of drag racing memories and 'secrets'...(maybe just 'his secrets') for example, the car now has manual drum brakes..which I assume was fairly common in order to go faster due to the drag on the discs...he says he gained .4 seconds from that alone...a change that he made almost right away... anyway here's another pic of the trunklid...and a few more pics of the car... |

The date stamp for the decklid would be where I placed a circle. It might be hard to see if there is a lot of paint. Neat car and would look cool in Day 2 trim. Rick H. ![]() |

Could this car have been sold at Nankivell Chev. - which is now Hubler? The dealership is on Rt 31 South, between Indy and Greenwood.
Cool car, love the 'shadetree' efforts from the original owner!
