The fact the car was registered"at one time" doesnt mean it will show up in the CT records if the reg wasnt current up to 5 years. On the other hand,im told due to privacy laws,you wont get that info[previous owners] even if they have it. .

That sucks; so how else are you supposed to track down a cars history? The person I bought it from didn't seem to have any information whcih is why I tried the title search route.

Do a search by the plates that were on the car and see what DMV records come back with.

It is impossible to certify a COPO or Z/28 as authentic without verifying that it is not a rebody... |
