"She told us it had some kind of star on the windshield at the showroom, and was special as only a certain number of dealers had one like it? or part of an alotment from Chevrolet?? (I've never heard of this, anyone have any more insights to this "star" or could it have just been some dealer hype?)"
Looks like a neat find, that star on the windshield could very well have been an indicator to the salespeople that it was an old age unit and who ever sells it gets a bonus  . JMO

Congrats on the acquisition! Love the shot of the part # on the exhaust. Nice thing about an M20/3:07 car is that you can actually drive it around.

Once again it goes to show they're still out there.
 Great find, hard to beat a car from the original owner with all that paperwork and history.  Try to record some stories they have about the car.
