-----I would do the car the original color outside and if you cant stand the inside color it is the cheapest of the two to change later when the car is worth that gazillion dollars. Matter of fact get a whole other set of seats and save the originals for the purist buyer. You will like the gold..........Bill S

Keep the stock colors. They work and they're different than most other cars out there. It'll stand-out in a good way. Try to save as much of the original interior parts as possible. You'll love it when it's done then you can find a blue car to restore and park next to it.

I might be able to live with Oly Gold /Black int. The other thing I forgot to mention, its a t 400 on the column and I'm thinking doing a 4 or 5 speed. Any thoughts on that?
Thank you,

[/ QUOTE ]Mike, If you want to do all these changes to an original BB camaro just go get a nice 6 cylinder/307 car and do these changes. Gold with DG interior is great color combo. I would not change an original BB cars colors, I would get another car to do or sell the one you have for a different color combo. In the old days that color combo would not be real popular with people. But orange, plum crazy and some of the Yenko Deuce colors were NOT real popular around here either. Look at BBBenny's silver COPO/blue interior I love that combo because of the lite blue interior. In 69 most people would have orderd a black or red interior with silver but not the guy who owned that car originally. Ask John Karvonen if he would have changed the color of his brown 69 Z's interior from DG to black again. His car is an extremely nice and well restored 69 Z. JMO

JMO & All,
I will eventually get around to replying and thanking all of you individually, just don't have time at the moment.
Thank you All for your opinions which I value. I have had enough feedback to determine that I don't want to try and change history! If you think about it, there is alot to said about the history of these 40 yr old muscle cars. So....She will be restored the way she came into this world; a plain Jane on the outside , a bit different, maybe ugly to some maybe beautiful to others but definitely original to the bone except a little better! I can't believe some of the factory welding?? especially on the sub frame. Oly Gold w/Green guts & t400 on the tree!
I'm sure she will grow on me. She will have to, I won't have any choice. Kinda like being married. Did I really say that? I'll send a pic or two in when shes done. Have a good weekend everyone.

Any and every change you make to the car will eventually create an issue you probably don't want to deal with. Oly Gold with Dark Green guts sounds mighty fine to me.

Solid GOLD!

Local Seattle area GOLD/Green interior 69 396/375 Frame off car.
The quality of the car speaks much louder that any aversion to the combination of colors!

Another vote for Gold/Green. It it was a 6 cyl or 307 car, do what you want, but an original BB car should stay original. It will stand out in a sea of blue/black or red/black Camaros.

...How about....keeping the original Gold exterior and original green interior.....
...BUT......add a "stinger" hood with Black motion/yenko "stinger"...and paint the tail panel Black..
....The unique original color will really set this car off with these 2 additions
