Has anyone actually seen this referenced by Chevrolet as "Endura" in any vintage printed materials,or even by any salesmen back then?
I've seen it called "Urethane","color matched" even "Astro"-(in Canada),but nothing else. I have Pontiac literature marketing it as "Endura",and guess the hobby just carried it over.. ![]() |

Its listed on window stickers and car shippers simply as "Special Front Bumper". I'd agree it was probably just a term taken from what the Pontiac bumpers were called... similar to how everyone calls the 69 "Special Ducted Hood" Cowl Induction. Seems alot of things were referred to as "Special" in 69.

I didn't realize that "Endura" was only a Pontiac term. Thanks for the info. I've attached a copy of part of the sales sheet for my 71 TransAm mentioning Endura.
