No doubt.. Boyd treated his employee's like crap.. Im sure alot of it was drama for the show but even so I sure wouldnt want to be portrayed to the world like that.. I like watching the car shows but that one had way to much EGO!!

Grrrrreat friggin' news if it's true!.
I can't stand to watch what they do to cars never mind the foolishness of the show...the last of the talent left that shop when the old metal-beater smoking guy passed away!. This years Bonneville Salt escapade was a wonderful thing too...couldn't have happened to a better guy!.  ~ Pete

I love watching car shows and I actually couldn't watch that one anymore due to the fake drama, lack of class, and egos.
I honestly will never think the same of Boyd after watching that show. I considered him a pioneer, but he came across as a real A-hole. I couldn't stand the "just get it done for the deadline" attitude instead of attention to detail. I would much rather watch one of NJSteve's, Kwizz's, or other members on this site's builds than his any day.

Ah comeon! We saw his right hand man/henchmen Duane in the hotel lobby at Vettefest. BBBenny hollared to him and he just turned, looked and waved. Didn't seem like he wanted to really say anything or get involved. I think the drama caught up to those guys and got a little out of hand. Maybe burn't themselves and the show, out to boot.
