Motion Z/30
I had pulled that shot from the NastyZ28 site where the owner called it a restification in progress of a Baldwin Motion Phase III Z/30 sbc Camaro. Looking at the thread Bruce posted and then checking postings dating back a couple of years 0n the Z28 site I found I had mistakenly called it a Z30. It started life as an SS 350 with a 10 bolt rear which Chuck had future plans on turning into a Z30 clone. Marty Schorr was kind enough to send me a e-mail advising the same and giving some further info on the Z/30's. Marty's e-mail is posted below-thanks again Marty. Glenn Glenn: Saw the pix of red Camaro in your posting on Supercar website. I do not recall any Gen II Z/30 Baldwin-Motion Camaro having a tunnel ram like this one. There were some big-block Phase III models later in production. The few small-block Gen II Z/30s and earlier Green Meanie Gen I Camaros that were built had cross-ram manifolds, probably Edelbrock, with a pair of Holley carbs. The hood would've been an L88/ZL1 design. Hope this helps, Marty Martyn L. Schorr PMPR, Inc.
