In the early seventies Motion offered a Phase III Z/30 small block rated @ 400hp, 425hp
& a strip only version rated @ 475hp. The 400hp was 11-1 with an 850 double pumper. The 425hp had a bigger cam, deeper pan and 2 - 660's on a tunnel ram. The 475 was blueprinted with head work and 12-1 compression. You had your choice of cam, and tunnel or street ram depending on your application. The price range started @ $1500, $1900 and $3000 the strip only version. They were as expensive as the 427 & 454's! A Phase III 427 - 450hp was $1500. A Phase III 454 - 475hp was $1500. This may account in part for the limited number sold. I am unfamiliar with the Green Meanie reference. The Z30 picture I posted is not my car, I believe pictures of this car were posted on this site over the summer, but I can't locate the thread.
