You say 200 is the number folks will remember after all of this? It seems that figure is already out there.

There seems to a few more 69 Yenko camaros for sale to the public than I can recall. And having trouble selling them, seems odd or maybe its just me being odd.

Tom,
The DY is priced that way for a reason. Jerry wants a 4 speed Yenko and has been interested in mine for about 8 months. With the (low) bids I recieved he contacted me and we now have a verbal agreement in place. ![]() The reason I didn't want it on ebay is because it does seem to set a benchmark similar to B-J, Mecum etc. There's apparently shill bidding in all these arenas. One reason that I don't attend them or go the ebay route. Sure, it was dissapointing that it didn't go higher, but what's worse is the prevailing pessimistic attitude concerning car values as investments. Just my $.02 |

SHill bidding is against all the rules on eBay and if found out is grounds for removal as an eBay user. Also, something else that comes to mind is that if you need shill bidders to "get the prices to the actual market value".....maybe what you think is market value isn't? Buddies bidding on an item to drive up the price does not set value-- real bids from real people willing to lay green in your hands in the amount of the bid does.
So much for "we are in this for the hobby and the true love of the cars".
