Default Re: 68 Motion Nova Craigslist post...

A guy I knew who lived in Havertown PA and owned a 67 SS Chevelle with a screaming SB. He and some friends used to race out on Front St. in Philly on Friday and Saturday nights.

His engine was built by "Radar" from K and G Speed shop in Havertown PA. I remember hearing "Radar" died in the 80's. And I believe that K and G Speed Shop also had a location near Church St in Philly. K and G was a pretty well known name back then, and did a bunch of work for professional racers as well. If K and G Speed is still around, that may be a good place to start looking.

I remember that there was a lot of hard core race cars which used to race on Front Street. You could drive by the area and see people unloading a car off of a trailer a couple of blocks away, and then driving to the start line.

I have since moved out of the area. I heard that the police eventually shut the area down completely. Anyone know if that is true?
