Hey Guys

I regulary import cars from USA. If these cars where going overseas, someone have had to take the time to change the Vin #.

Your customs are doing a very very fine job making sure that the cars are legit, i sent home two z06 corvettes 3 weeks ago, and the customs where picking apart every document, and checking with the guys on the titles, if it where a legit sale.

So my point,,, is that it takes a lot of effort to get trough your customs, at least thats my experience..

I'll stick my neck out here having been through the process twice with Nils. The system of exporting a car is much, much more involved than you would ever imagine. Hours of inspections (physical and paper trail) goes into the exporting process. There is gone in 60 seconds motive here... it takes weeks...

That's when they do it legally. When stolen cars go out, they hide them in the large containers with a ton of garbage in the front by the door, piled from the floor to the ceiling. The cars end up being heavily damaged in the process but the a**holes on the recieving end don't care since they will have a buyer for them in whatever condition they arrive.

Not knowing all the circumstances surrounding the thefts, it sounds like the JERKOFFS that took these cars were amateurs.. It was most likely "amateur hour!!" Had these been "professional JERKOFFS" I'm quite certain nothing would have been recovered..

Anyhow, I am very happy the one car was recovered and I hope you guys recover the other ones as well. KUDOS TO THE COPS FOR THE RECOVERY!! Where there any arrests made???

Just about 2 weeks ago there was a 57 Chevy stolen from a local repair shop near my home. The guys that run this shop left this customer's car outside overnight rather than securing it inside the shop. It just made it that much easier to steal it. So far this one has not been recovered. I was told it was a very nice car by a friend who knew the owner well and actually painted the car!! THIS SUCKS!! Rich
