Wow, great story and well worth the time to read. Surely all of us can identify with this story and remember the good times with our cars in the old days (some older than others). Loved the "this is how you learn things" quips too. Here's my '62--in 1/25 scale. Original AMT kit from 1962 put together carefully with no paint. My neighbor had a '62 Impala convert when I was a little kid (late '60s) that he bought new and it must have had resonators because it had a great sound. It was a non-SS 283/PG, white/blue interior/white top, full wheelcovers. I've been crazy about '62s ever since!
