Nickey corvette??

Your friend must have looking in the wrong places. Most Nickey sold Corvettes would have ended up in the surrounding affluent Suburbs. Not the Urban streets of the City itself. It was very much as it stands today, a different type buyer.

I have inspected numerous examples of original and restored Nickey sold Corvettes, to include L71s and a survivor L89 Convertible .

Nickey even Converted Corvettes, but none of those have been rediscovered, as of yet.

They also had very special race Corvettes like:

Like a 1956 SR2, "Nickey Nouse" '63 ZO6, A.J. Foyt ZO6 and some customer ordered specials.

They were the largest Car Dealership in Volume of total car sales, total parts sales and service work.

Sales Department had up to 50 Sales people

Service Had 25 technicians

Hi-Performance Dept Had 5 people

Parts Dept had 25 counter people

Ownership and Admistrative Staff was approx 20 people

Porters, wash and lube was approx 20 people



The largest volume Corvette Dealership of the late '60s and 70s title goes to Jack Douglass Chevrolet, in Hinsdale.

They sold many Tri-Powered Corvettes.
