February 18, 2001. The day that Nascar died. Just my opinion.

Bring back the days when NASCAR stock cars were production based cars that were modified for racing instead of this IROC variant that it's become. I could say the same thing for NHRA Pro Stock cars too. I miss the days when the cars were factory built cars that were modified for racing and many of the racers actually shifted their own gears. The fiberglass replicars that Pro Stockers have become are boring. I prefer to watch Stock and Super Stock.

I'd rather hear ol' Rusty Wallace crying that his Pontiac has an unfair disadvatage after winning 18 races in two years (93-94?) than try to convince myself those winged monstrosities have anything to do with STOCK cars !!

Just when I thought Denny Hamlin might make the sport interesting, he switches to that 4NJNK.

I'm out.

It's just another step to creating another PC sport. Level playing field for everyone, esp with the new cars......I'm in favor of trashing the point system.....Just race for the checker. If you win the most... the championship is yours..If there's a tie? Good old fashion Sat night 150 lap shootout.
