It's on Saturday nights.
Downers Grove was REALLY busy, this last Friday night.Probably because the week prior it was cancelled due to Main St. having it's pedwalks reconstructed,so everyone was a bit anxious this week. Lombard was "Officially" over last weekend, but they are hosting two more Saturday night cruises on Sept. 8 & 15th. Last Saturday was not a cruise night, and supposed to be all over,so I was skeptical as to what would show.We showed up at 4:00 and found car after car idling in.Alot of tri-5's especially... By 6:00 it had almost filled up,and we ended up staying until 9:00.I didn't bring my camera, but wish I did as there was some incredible iron showing up.The weather was F****** perfect! No wind, cloud or insect in the vicinity. My Chevelle felt like it wanted to go 110mph the whole way there, while never reaching the 195 degree mark. I saw cars pulling in I haven't seen all summer. My friend took a few pix of me,and she emailed them over. It really turned out to be a great evening of cars & group of people pulling in,even as we were pulling away later on. ![]() |
