Galen's name has lost some of it's "pizzaz" in the last couple of years in the Mopar World. Try to look him up at a national event .... ya ain't gonna find 'em ........ interesting.

This is not true. "Galen's name" has gained fervor if anything. This former Marine is an incredible fountain of knowledge and is plugged into so many aspects of all things MoPar including Chrysler HQ. The concern some have with his business is that there is only one Galen and way too many requests for him to be in multiple places at once. To clone himself (train another person/s) would most likely dilute the process as there are so many nuances and permutations to authenticating some MoPars. Keep in mind that Galen "does it all" across so many years and models. With many old Dodges and Plymouths bringing incredible prices the scrutiny of his work is always under the microscope. Not everyone is a big fan of Galen in the MoPar world and I suspect his extremely high demand is a function of that. Paperwork turnaround after the inspection is slow and Diane (she's a sweetheart) could use some more help in the office. Still I have found him to be a very personable, knowlegeable, and passionate car guy.

Agreed.
He's been involved with all my mopars.

A lot of Galen's issues can be reasoned by reading this thread, from MOPARTS.

'Splains everything - for those interested...

Could it be that guys who don't like him most likely have cars with questionable pedigree and guys who like him probably have solid pedigree cars?

Probably the same situation with the possibility of someday being able to document Chevys the way GG documents Mopars. The fakers are up-in-arms and the honest guys are fine with it. JMO.

BTW, despite the a-hole that hit the buy-it-now button and shutdown the auction earlier in the week, the car did sell to someone off ebay a day or two ago. Check out the button presser's previous feedback -he paid $4 for a Macy's coupon. Hey big spender...
