Jason, you must be mistaken. I found them on e-bay for $500.00, but again if someone wants it from e-bay, there they are. I am not affiliated with that e-bay listing.
I will guarantee the one I have. This is one of the reasons
I left the hobby is because of many deplorable parts dealers and the shenanagans and games they play with the car owners.

Is this crank factory Nitrided and Cross Drilled as used in L78 applications? I purchased a 6223 crank off ebay several years ago that was Nitrided (Gray color) but the Mains were not cross drilled. It was a factory GM crank.
I did cross drill it on my Bridgeport Mill since it was used in an L78 application.

Hi Paul. 70 Z in that color is cool. Anyway, the crank is nitrided from the factory, but not cross drilled, and I wonder if this was done at the factory. Any thoughts?
I will try to find a picture to post, I don't have a camera
anymore.

Paul, this crank was for my 69 L-78 Camaro that is long
gone. I only have this and a couple of other parts left. Paul I also noticed that the crank I have is not all grey in color, but has different shades of grey along the journals and connecting rod points. This is indicative of factory heat treating. (not saying yours isn't)....Joel
