------This is one of many X-Al Maynard cars. Obviously the car has been massaged but I cant speak for much of its history. The miles are supposed to be legit. I also know the present owner. He owns a Cadillac store, is a good guy and has absolutely no reason to misrepresent anything. Last time I talked with him this car was only for sale because he was after another car that he really wanted and he only cared to have a certain number of collector cars. Id love to own it!!!........Bill S

Its very easy to 'roll back' miles on vintage cars. It was and probibly still is common practice.

Is there a fool proof way to detect a odometer that has been tampered with?

Not if they install an NOS speedo head and drive it. Not directing anything towards this Nova. This car is sweet!

This car is very nice from the pictures but a few things I saw that I would question. The drivers seat shows some wear(more than the 17k car that I have)The sides of the car have been repainted but no reason was given for this. The exaust has been replaced & I can't see the resinators. It is easy to pick a car apart and this car is very very nice but I would question the parts replaced & the paint work on a car that states 254 miles.

How can a magazine article from the late 60s document mileage of a car 40 years later?
