Default Re: Pontiac T-37, and GT-37

Our '72 Lemans Sport came from the Oshawa factory with the 400, M20 4 speed, and 3.55 posi 12 bolt rearend. According to the brochure, the car could have been ordered with a 455. I installed a '70 455, the 360 hp version advertised at 500 ft/lb torque. With a 230 degree cam, .480 lift, and headers, the car is considerably quicker than our L78 4.10 geared Chevelle. You just might want to have your 440 running well into the 12s, if this guy is as quick as people think. It would be an interesting race to see. Those old Pontiacs are pretty responsive to tuning and are pretty easy to work on as well.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.
