Make 'em all showroom stock!

I don't know about show room stock. The small block car's were a real dog out of the show room with out a good tune. I just can't see a L78,L88 or L72 with exhaust manifolds, they need a good set of headers and a few other bolt ons to make them move. But what would I know about drag racing any way

Have you seen the Certified Stock cars run lately, they seem to do just fine with their manifolds, ie; low 12's and high 11's without traction bars and skinny tires!!!

Tom, you're right about it's day1 history. Orig owner, Jim L. raced it at KC drag strip & street raced it in Grecian Green, then sold it with only 1500 miles. I believe it was the 2nd owner, who I've not spoken to, that day2'd it the way it is shown here.
I'm told that when Jim was on leave from Nam he decided to drive from KC to Laharpe to buy the Nova. When he got there, the dealership was closed, so he called Fred at home to see if he would reopen to sell him the Nova. Fred did so, Jim bought it & drove it home. Only a few of the 50 Novas' were actually sold at the Gibb dealership. BTW Wayne Elston, now deceased, filled out the Gibb delivery inspection sheet...he did many of the ZL1 inspections as well.
This Nova either came close to setting the Eddyville track record, or did set it(can't get my hands on actual doc's) & I'm told that other Muscle used to come to Moulton from Cedar Rapids to see if they could beat it. Not bad for the $1000 that the 3rd owner paid for it...with this paint sceme & the L88.

Jude where did hear that only afew were sold at the Gibb dealership?? I would say that's true about the ZL-1 s, but not the Novas. All were sold by and threw Fred Gibb.

Wayne Elstrom's signature is on my Pre-Delivery sheet as well. Also have one of his business cards.

______________

As for #21, leave her Green, bolt on some Day 2 stuff, snooker Marlin out of the Atlas wheels and a lot!
