[ QUOTE ]
This makes it impossible for the car to have ever had a 396. The engine installed in the car was also assembled May 10th, 1965, about 5 months after the car was built. [/ QUOTE ] As nice as the car is, what is unfortunate is that the seller is representing the car in such a way that a prospective buyer can easily be misled into thinking that this is a real-deal car. Here are some excerpts: "Incredible VERY, VERY rare find! Vintage 1965 Chevrolet Belair RPO L78 two-door sedan with a totally awesome correct perfect three year professional ROTISSERIE restoration.... Built in Los Angeles, CA then shipped to Arizona this factory race car .... It is my understanding that only 1,138 were made in made in 1965. How many are left and how many are complete and in this condition today?" ![]() ![]()
