The media bombards us with Hollywood blather because it's easier than reporting the hard news. AND, the average American EATS IT UP. Anna-Nicole, Paris, (any pair of boobs really*), Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn--the list and the constant coverage goes on and on. It's easier than reporting the hard news, we eat it up like good consumers, and the ratings go off the charts. It's our fault because they only give us what we want! Remember Don Henley's song "Dirty Laundry" and how it hammered crap like this?

The one thing Hollywood elites and the Hollywood-based news media don't want you to do is ignore them. So ignore them. Trouble is, too many Americans are addicted to it so I guess we're f___ed.
