70-1 must have been bad for vin stamping. They often seemed to miss the 1's. I have three 70 Z's at the house (2 mine, 1 a friends) and two of them have missing 1's in the stamp. Both have been verified by Jerry M as original stamps.
What IS a little different is that there is no space. On my stamps, where the 1 is missing, there is a space, ie 70N15678 etc would be 70N 5678. None of mine have that much dum dum in the rvits. Not saying anything is amiss here, just comparing to the three that I have access too (and those are 70's not 71;s)......... Rich
