I am going to just go with a Delco 78 side terminal and save my repo R89 for the rare times when the car would be judged. thanks to all But i wish they would hurry up and make a topper for the R89 |

Actually, that would be a R79.
Unless something changed for 70, the normal (non-HD) batteries would have been side-post. http://www.camaros.org/underhood.shtml#Batteries

Anyone, know if top posts were ever put in 70z s. I have heard early production cars had top posts. Thanks, John |

John I think it is R79 is correct as that is what is called out on my buildsheet for my 70 Camaro...
