Default Re: 1969 power brake metering valve location

One of the previous owners took the power booster off of the car. It only has the master cylinder and the distribution block in the engine compartment area. I am trying to determine if I need the round proportioning/metering valve and, if so, where it should be mounted. I can find no engine pics of the proper configuration. My 1967 Z has the distribution block mounted to the firewall with a bracket; the metering valve (or whatever it is called) is mounted to the power booster with a bracket. I did not know if this is the same setup for a 1969 or not as someone removed the booster.
