Wayne and his wife towing the Chevelle to the races. This is the '66 Ford pick up, that Wayne's Dad owned, that inspired the black/red color combo of his Chevelle.

Wayne running against what appears to be a Z28. Anyone know this car?

Man, that is some good stuff. The original owner of my 69 SS said she had pictures of it new with her kids by the car, but has yet to be able to find them. Her mother (the orignal owner) may have tossed them in her old age.
My car is a near twin to Sam's but with the 325 hp engine and 4 speed trans. No race history, it was Mabel Summerlin's grocery/church car. Thanks for sharing those great photos!!!!!! Phil Woj. |
