[ QUOTE ]
Ordinarily, a production-used General Lee would be worth about $150,000 to $200,000, said McKeel Hagerty, president of Hagerty Insurance, a collector car insurance company. The opportunity to buy the car from "Bo Duke" himself would add some value, he said. [/ QUOTE ] I can see the listing in the Old car guide now = General Lee Charger 150,000 to 200,000 *asterik* Must add 9,800,000.00 for bo duke edition 383 model w hemi ... |

Absolute and total B.S.
I don't care how much money someone (or some company) has or how stupid they may be, there is no possible way anyone would pay that kind of money for a hacked up non R/T Charger, "Bo Duke" owned or not. As a long time eBay seller with a 10,000+ feedback rating, I find this disgusting and there is nobody to blame but eBay. Anyone who knows or has done any business with Mr. Schnieder knows he is quite the master of marketing and it appears that he, along with eBay has scored again. You simply can't buy the kind of publicity this "bid" is generating. BTW; did anyone happen to look at what the winning bidder has been buying and selling on eBay over the last year or so? As always, just my "humble opinion" for whatever that is worth! BA |

just curious as to whether your opinion changes if Schneider uses all the $ in the next installment of the Dukes of Hazzard movies?

Youre kidding me,it didnt sell?? How shocking. John should send a second chance offer to the second high bidder at 9,900,400.00 im sure hes ready to back up his high bid and wants the car. At least Schneider got some publicity hes needing for his new movie for a 40.00 ebay listing fee...I dont think the car should go to Nigeria anyway, its such an american icon.
