So, what's it gonna' take to put you behind the wheel of this Cobra today? You know you want it, & you want it bad! Seriously, this is an unbelievably nice machine. Not to mention extremely rare. I need to get at least 34.5k & it's yours. Offers coming in so far are very close, but not there as of yet. BTW, if anyone would like a true, honest, experience of dealing with Lee Smith, email me. Both myself, & a good friend of mine, bought a couple of cars from Mr. Smith in the past, & we can tell you our firsthand experience. Also, even though my '72 T/A was featured as a 'members ride' car a couple of years ago, I'm still labeled as 'stranger'. Why is that so, & what do I need to do to change it. Everybody's mother warned them to keep away from strangers! Thanks

Robb,

As my Mom would say (it is Mother's Day you know) "keep pluggin' along". It is all about the count. The more posts you make the sooner you will not be a "stranger". Don't know the thresholds for each level, but will bet one of the monitors will chime in. Good luck with that cool FoMoCo!

Hey Sam, thanks for the encouraging words. I've been a 'car' guy all my life, & often tell my friends, that I'm paying the price for being a 'hot rodder'. My old '70 SS454 Chevelle, that Jim Ross (SS4Real) has, is still a lost love of mine. Jim is a great guy, & I'm still sad he moved away. I was fortunate enough to become friends with Marty Didzerekis, when I met him while working on his Bronco II in 1986, when I was a mechanic for Ford. I have some fond stories that I won't bore you with, but I remember telling Marty about my '66 GTO that I owned at the time, & Marty telling me that he wanted to get back into cars & how he loved the '62 Bubbletop 409s. At the time, I didn't think he was serious, but before I knew it, he had the nicest one I had ever seen. Marty invited me to have my Chevelle in the Showcase at 'Vette Fest in 1996, when I still lived in Chicago, & that was a wonderful experience. Chevy's & Pontiacs have always been my 1st true love, but AMCs & Fords have come in a close 2nd. Mopars too, but they've always been priced away from me. So anyway, I guess that is why the label 'Stranger' makes me feel uneasy. Thanks, Robb

Hey Bruce, I've read that, & according to that, I'm a newbie. Doesn't answer as to why I'm labeled as a 'stranger' though, & I guess that's what I'm curious about. I may be strange, but I'm definitely not a stranger! Thanks
