Default Re: Need Muncie Shifter Handle

Kind of a long story, but I have Hurst linkage in my car along with the Hurst handle. I would like to replace the Hurst shifter handle with a Muncie. I know I will have to do a little fabricating at the connection point but I think it can be done. From some of the research that I have done the above Chevelle shifter will work with the least amount of welding and cutting. I know it won't be exact, but I really love the Hurst linkage. Here is a link to a pic that I tried fabricating with a shifter handle that came from a chevelle for a console... It looks bad.

As you can see the "twist" in the handle really screws it up. It is also too tall. So that is why I thinking the bucket seat handle will work....
