Well, here goes, my first post other than a wanted ad. I have some concern about this block. I have an original CRV 512 4-bolt motor freshly rebuilt. My motor has the little valve relief notches in the top of each cyclinder bore, like the 396 motor. The 2-bolt 512's that I have seen do not have these notches all the real 4-bolts Ive seen do have them. I have been studying these blocks to see what mine is worth if I were to sell. I can not make out these notches in the pictures. I just looked at these pics today and the auction is over and some one owns it now. My first gut reaction is it is a 2-bolt converted. If the time Ive spent studying these blocks proves usefull in helping identify the converted blocks I was happy to share! These blocks are bringing real money and should be real blocks! If a block is a converted 2-bolt and restamped, it should be advertised as such and we as buyers can decide what its worth to us. Im not trying to stir any trouble, just wanting to share my info. as Ive seen it with my fellow enthusiats! If my info. is wrong, please let me know and I will stand corrected! Travis

Welcome aboard Travis.

Sounds like you're on the right side of the fence!
