One of my favorite things on my Camaro is the original underhood insulation. Stained, a tad ratty, but still there after 40 years*. Because the stock 396 is a close fit the indentation from the L35's air cleaner lid is deeply pressed into the insulation. Oh, and the light surface rust around the hood edges has gotten compliments at shows too. At one show a few years ago a guy said to me in a serious, solemn voice, "Don't change a thing."

*Hey, it's an 03C car, third week of March 1967. Happy 40th Birthday to my Camaro! She looks better every day.
