WOW - What a find! Hats off to you all!
![]() I find it quite interesting that Dana would use a SB SS for a 427 conversion. So many things were different between the two drivetrains. Had Dana used any other SB's for conversion? Steve

I find it quite interesting that Dana would use a SB SS for a 427 conversion. [/ QUOTE ] Shops such as Dana, Motion, etc., would transplant 427s into any Camaro (or Chevelle, etc.) that was brought in. Original owner of this car probably got tired of the stock 350 and took the car to Dana for the more exciting 427 swap. If a customer had Dana order such a conversion car brand-new then they usually ordered an L78 car with all the strong driveline and suspension parts from the factory, then pulled the 396 and put in the 427 and added the various customer-desired speed-parts. Great car by the way. Cragars! CA black plates and frames! Great to see the hood remained with the car. |

Great find, congratulations! I'll put my vote in for "as found" at SCR X.
