I have seen VIN numbers stamped with different size fonts. The workers would throw in what they had and stamp away. This was seen quite a bit at the Van Nuys plant. Looks good to me. Paul [/ QUOTE ] Rick, Have seen this before too. Had a O. Gold L78 '69 Chevelle from Framingham with mixed fonts. Broaching on pad was correct and the clincher was that the same stamp with same oddities was found on the M21.

I wouldn't rule that one out either..
Besides the trans stamp as Sam noted, if it was important enough it could be worth looking for other known Vins in the range to compare?. ~ Pete ![]()
