That R79 is NOT the optional T-60 battery that was available on the 1970 Super Sport Chevelles. The R79 side terminal had a smooth top with delco eyes along it's casing,just like the R59 top post. R79 Top ![]() |

The R79W was first released in 1970 and what was included on the 1970 Chevelle LS-5 & LS-6 package as RPO T-60,and available a side option also under RPO T-60 on the L-34 & L-78 Chevelles.
