Guys!
I don't want to hi-jack this topic, but I do have a related question. Can anyone post an image or images of the correct original throttle cable for a 1970 L/78 Nova? Are these cables available as NOS, or even repop'd? Also, and in line with this discussion, what is the correct Holley bracket for the cable on the '70 L/78 Nova? Steve

If your car was built after Dec/1969 then it would probably have use what I call the ls6 bracket in the pics. I found an april 1970 l78 Nova and it had this bracket on the intake. Peter |

I'd still like to see what an original L/78 cable looks like.

![]() P.J., Ask Steve (aka 71-LS6) on this forum about his bracket, he has the earliest known '71 LS-6 Corvette built. My cars are March 18, and April 20 1971 built.

I don't understand all the debate over the 619.It's the same part. It's a time period issue as to which version a car got.Depending on what supplier GM was purchasing from at the time. What we need to clarify this is for someone to date range each version.Am I wrong?

Yes Warren
That information is very interesting. It would be nice to hear from the corvette owners to see what brackets are on the cars and what build date and plant they were built. I was surprized to hear that the 71 Vette had a L78 bracket to say the least. It must also be considered If the car was restored and the bracket was purchased and then put back on the car?? Most of the cars I was able to find were originals. The earliest bracket I found was a Sept/69 dated Elcamino L78.I also never found a L78 bracket on a original ls6 car,so far.I also must admit I never considered looking for Corvette brackets until now.
