Just trying to learn here (so don't shoot me)...Did GTO's have that type of exhaust out the back end from the factory?

Yes they were available as an extra cost option. I'm so curious to see what the sale price will be for this one!

Wow, that's a lotta red Car does look beautiful. Time for all the pre-auctions hype to start up, I guess - "Here's a car offered on eBay but please don't bid on it". You would think eBay would be wise to this stuff

I have seen this car. A guy from the PY site used to own it. When I saw it, it had poverty caps, but it wasn't equipped that way originally.

I also thought it was a candidate for B-J, but I could be off on my memory. But it's a nice example of a '69 RAIV, other than the puffery involved with the auction - Pontiacs are not Hemis or BBCs.

I dont get this, why wouldnt he want someone to up the $275,000? Is this car really going to get that much at BJ ?
Is it cheaper to list this car here for exposure with a high reserve and also take to BJ ? can anyone explain that or opine?
(Please dont mention the "one of one", I've got that figured out already)

and whats with the "arnie the farmer" doodleing? is that valuable? or a Pontiac thing?

yes, I KNOW who he is, why the scribble on that car? Is my car more valuable with a Joel Rosen autograph even though its not a BaldwinMotion car?

It's a great car. It's a fast car. But it ain't a Chevy or Mopar. The guy is shooting for the stars, and if not, it's going to B-J - that's my estimation.

Love the triple red! .
So the exhaust was optional but not original equipment shipped on this car? .
And is this the same exhaust that was part of the short production window 'Tiger Button' or whatever that vaccuum exhaust cut-out system was? .
