Thanks, I love the Trans-Am cars. I hope they come back to the east coast this year. If I had known they were coming to Limerock, I would have been there! [/ QUOTE ] Yeah,40th anniversary at Lime Rock and at Watkins Glen last year, couldn't make it.First time the West Coast guys brought the real cars back East...us CA guys get spoiled seeing these cars all the time,I'm about 10 minutes away from Laguna Seca...can hear them run from my house. ![]()

If they don't come back I may have to plan a trip there. I've been looking for a site like this, couldn't find anything on web searches. At least now I can find out when the races are. You are definitely blessed, nothing like that happens in NJ!

[/ QUOTE ] Oh spoiled isn't the word. The vintage T/A guys are a great group and the East Coast trip certainly brought them closer together. There is talk of returning back East as well as a TV deal in the works but nothing yet.I've grilled lunch for some of the teams including the Edelbrocks and then afterwards,Vic will show you how his Red gas-powered blender makes a mean bunch of margarita's! ![]() All good fun, come on out to the West Coast and we'll show you a good time. ![]()

You let me know when your throwing the next party for them and I'll be there to help! That would be like going to racecar heaven! I'm getting chills thinking about it. I remember my first Nascar race at Dover. The feeling when they dropped the flag and the stands were shaking. I'm sure going to a Trans-Am event would be even better. Ahh... maybe one day.

[/ QUOTE ] I've lived near Laguna since 1970 and I've seen just about every form of motor racing there is over the years.Yeah...the sound of 40+ T/A cars racing to the green flag is very loud...and music to our ears. ![]() Another great moment there was when Ferrari was the featured marque @ Laguna (which happens about every 4-5 years )and they lined up something like 25+ original 250 GTO's to take the grid.I was there with 3 of my lifelong buddies, two of which had traveled from out of state.Priceless moment to say the least.I'm really a drag racer at heart and I'm a regular @ Infineon in Sonoma for the NHRA races. ![]()
