Default Re: Most Impressive Stock Muscle Car

------Fastest "stock" street-car I ever had was a 1965 Griffith,,,hands down. The standard Griffith came with a 2-barrel 289. The one I ended up with in 1969 was one of probably 4 delivered with a dual-quad 350hp Cobra version 289. Not much, you say??? The difference was it weighed 1900lbs with a full tank of gas. I remember the beast as having a 370 or so gearset and it was ferociously fast to 60 if you didnt just get it going sideways. I bought it outside of Boston and took it to Florida with me. It is the main reason I have a 4 page rap-sheet with the Ft.Lauderdale Police, and deserved every ticket!!!
------Now if we are talking modified, you know what I have to say.........Bill S
