Norm,

I spent six months in Joplin, MO. I was running a project for Missouri Gas Energy. I found the people to be some of hardest working and most honest around. This is true for most of the midwest To be honest if my kids were not in school, I would most likely be living in the mid west, quite possibly Joplin. I miss Stoudts Pizza, over 200 beers available

Norm, Say it ain't so. You can't move from the Philly area!!! What about the Liberty Bell? What about 45 minutes from Atco? What about 75 minutes from Maple Grove. How about 40 minutes from Atlantic City? What about Carlisle? New York City just 90 minutes away! Not to mention cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, TastyKakes, scrapple and....GTO DON!!! Won't you miss Rocky Balboa? Say it ain't so Norm! Especially to the wind torn, dust bowl of the country! There are NO beaches in Kansas. No Norm don't do it! You will be missed greatly.

I moved out of Seattle after 42 years to Arkansas. Great place to live, kinda too laidback at times. No stress, no Traffic, moderate weather and real nice People. We bought our House 3 years ago, 3 Bdrm, 2 bath, Attached 2 car Garage it was Brand New paid $130.00. Added a Seperate 2 car for $30,000. Nice area.

[/ QUOTE ] Now thats what I am talking about .A row home in n/e philly are going around 150-175.000 Now that is NUTs
most of them do not even have a drive way
cheesesteaks, soft pretzels yea might miss then
the Jersey shore well it is so done used to hag out down Ocean city for years. Did not go down once last year they ruined it
there is soo much greed. If they could find a way to tax the air you breath belive me they would do it.They do charge a fee to walk out on the beach. every thing that was nice at the jersey shore is long gone I am living on a fixed income so the mid west sounds like I can get more for my money I have right now I am in the Research mode

West/Northern Illinois is really building now,and has some of the best Land/Home values at a decent price.
It also has access to nearly everything the surrounding Midwest has to offer within a short driving distance.(Albeit a toll is required)
Just a thought..
