BTW, I remember hearing here ( a few years ago ) that
someone else may have built a tribute car just like the
one I am referring to. Any info on that car or individual
would be appreciated.

Yeah its true. Someone posted some pictures of it here a while back. Let's see if we can find them...

EDIT: Here are the pictures.. And here is the thread where they came from.. Lots of hot air going around in the discussion so be warned...

Yep Darren! That's the thread I remember. Thanks!

Looks like Al Wallace was the one that built the replica
ZL-1 mule car I was referring to. Anyone have any idea
how I can get in touch with him? I'd like to find out more
about the ZL-1 emblems he made, paint, etc..

It could just be the stance/positioning...but:

There's something about the bias-ply's that just look right on that car (original). Something to think about if you're trying to do a tribute.
