It is most definitely a 1971 Challenger R/T.

As evidenced by the unique 71-only tail lights, the 70/71-only side marker lamps, the 71-only quarter panel louver, the 70/71 high back bucket seats, the unique emblem hole position for the "426HEMI" emblem on the hood, (though the "426" part is broken off), the 71-only R/T upper quarter to front fender stripe, the 70/71-only Plum Crazy paint which looks to be original by the way it is sloughing off the car, the 70/71-only rear bumper without the jack cutouts....

If real, it's one of 75 built: 58 4-speeds, 12 automatics and 5 exports shipped to Canada.

I can almost guarantee that the car won't move from that spot. I would check back often if I were you. Or if you want me to contact him I will?

That green Monte Carlo has been in that spot for as long as I can remember. There’s a blue one in Eagle, near the Lexus dealer, that has been sitting just as long. Where’s the El Camino? Is it for sale?
