[ QUOTE ]
This followed me home today a 1968 SS427 number matching 385Hp,4spd 2 owner all original right down to carb and air cleaner. The only non stock items are headers, shift knob and wheels. It took 25 years of chasing this one to get it secured. Last taged in 1980 runs and drives. Sold new at Iten in NYC. Pictures to follow Jim [/ QUOTE ] I don't know whether Jim sent me the wrong pics...but this isn't a 1968 SS427? ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's probably a different car but perhaps it's that '68 Chevy that's peeking out from behind the '71 T/A that's in front of the '70 Chevelle that's beside the '69 Chevy...yes the one in front of the '72 Chevelle that's ahead of the 71/72 truck that's in front of what looks like it could be a '35 Ford...what's the flamed one beside it, it looks too high to be a '67 Camaro? .

Isn't that the T/A that was for sale on Ebay? That car seemed like a good deal.

I sent You 2 sets this was the second set I'll resend the SS427. This followed me home just after the 68 its the 71 455HO T/A that was on e-bay that was listed as not numbers matching. The owner didn't know where the vin was. We bought it then he discovered the vin with the help of a Ponitac expert that wasn't bidding cost more, but a super solid 54,000 mile car. Just the quarters are bad. The cowl and windshield that were discussed under the for sale area are super just was covered in dirt and squirrel nestings. Killer find!!!

Great find! I know the drag guys told me they like the 68 over the 66 for weight transfer and performance. Looks like the wait was worth it!

Cool Jim...just after yesterday's Ford discussion and results, I'm afraid if I express too much liking for the big window Charger, some fella' named Dodge may pass away? .

I don't know whether Jim sent me the wrong pics...but this isn't a 1968 SS427? [ QUOTE ] Bruce- You had to go over to the cars for sale thread for the 71 T/A...This is what Jim posted about another "new" purchase. [ QUOTE ] Its now at home in Klunkersville !!! We had a deal until the Poniac expert that wasn't even bidding told the owner where to look for the vin number . We had looked at the car before it met reserve and made a deal , that went south when he discovered the vin at the pan rail Thanks !!! We still made the deal for more money and here it is . Wheres Klunkersville , Steve Shauger, Ken Pascoe, Frank Arrone, Bob Johnson, Chuck Hanson, Jeff Dotter, Jerry Macneish, and Don White all know where the field of dreams is !!!! Pictures are under Look what followed me home today Jim [ QUOTE ] I have heard of cross dressing but never cross threading. You guys are tricky......
