I wrote the article on the CRG site.

The car in question was featured in a number of the NY 'pulp' car mags back then. It was a black L78 '69 Camaro SS and getting it wasn't easy. They wanted black with no D90 stripe; Chevy wouldn't do it. They accepted the car with white stripes. It was featured in a number of Motion ads of the era; they eventually took the stripes off and photos of it both ways are common. It had black vinyl roof, VE3 bumper, TH400, console, AM radio, power steering and windows. Grille was silver. They put a Motion hood, Inglewood white stripe tires and Keystone mags on it. The Drag Racing [May '69] article was the ZL1 transplant; it had an L88 at one time.

All short lived. It was stolen and never recovered.
