I bought new '69 Chevelle fenders from GM in '98. I'd hardly call them NOS, just new GM. Six months before that they were showing none in Canada. All of a sudden all of the GM warehouses had them. I would assume that at that time GM would run the old dies periodically to fill orders and their warehouses. Your dating idea is great.........for honest people.
