Pretty obvious Don Yenko was the first to use the crest/shield, as seen on the side of the '67 Yenko/DH racecar.
No doubt the first to register the crest/shield, as I have a folder containing all of the correspondence between Yenko and the trademark office, which would not have allowed Yenko to register had it been in use prior, and this email I received from a former employee validates that. Also answers the question several have asked"..what would Don do about folks using his name without permission if alive today...?" <font color="red"> Tom, In early 70's Don told me he sent a cease and desist letter to Harrell about unauthorized use of shape of Yenko shield, because it was registered. Perhaps someone has a copy of that letter. </font>
