Pics of heads. 3/69 6/69 842s... neither ever had a valve in them. one was used to bolt to a mock up engine many decades ago and sat, other was in the box. been on someones shelf for last 30 years when i bought them. have winters snowflake on outside and inside under valve cover. heads are a little discolored and someone starting to clean with steel wool or? but never did much.surfaces on exhaust sides and intake and deck are as machined by gm. I have several nos sets and have owned many more but this is the first 69 set ive seen or had. One seems to have slight cleaning in intake port but not porting, morte like a deburring etc.ill try to post that pic also .these are nos however they arent as if i just opened the box yesterday, theyve been sitting around and have some minor scratching, etc. there is a factory grind near one cylinder. Other than that someone started to clean them up and never got really far, they have not been blasted and there are no cracks or welds or any type of helicoils. stock guides /i have 20 other pics and will be listing on ebay with all the pics if they are needed. Just want to be clear on the condition of these, im making a bigger deal than i have to on these but just want to be precise in my description.

Do the heads have the factory plugs?
Is the surface on the ends still the original finish or has someone started cleaning there? Could you post photos showing how much cleaning was done - do they look kinda polished in places? Thanks. |

no plugs,[guess that proves the books wrong]. Snowflakes inside as well as outside. In a few areas someone started to clean them up under the vc area but its not like they polished them in a smooth fashion at all,its more like they were done with a brass wire brush or steel wool and stopped because the method was not effective in smoothing anything out in my opinion just making a sheen to the aluminum.
