.......Quality Control????

Unfortunatly we (the consumer) are the only real forms of quality control when it comes to reproduction parts.I know I've harped on this many times before...It's all supply and demand...The sad part is..In most cases it does not effect the cost to make this crap the right way the first time around....Bad heat treating? I've worked in heat treating,if these are bad theres a few thousand that are bad as well.... their often treated a barrel at a time.Has anyone found a good repro part? Does it work without modifications right out of the box?

Ken, I hear your next project is a repro Camaro...

Sorry,I feel your pain....

Made some progress on the Inside.......put the "Cranks and Handles" on.......Thanks to Belair62, I got the Carpet Trim Ring for the Floor Shift .....(The Camaro Boot will have to do for now)........Got a complete Correct Exhaust system from Jody (He had some extra ones made when he did his "Black L-72 66 Impala").......that will be put on Tomorrow......and the Seats should be done early next week......Still waiting for the Radiator....(ordered it April 10th)......getting close to canceling it and going to Plan "B".......Got a ID sticker from Jody also and all the windshield washer Stuff is hooked up.......Cumby.......The Burnout in front of your "Hacienda" is getting closer.....LOL......Here are some more Pic's

Got the Exhaust system put on today.....It's amazing how small in diameter the original tailpipes are........Also I found out that the Radiator has finally been shipped......That leaves getting the seats and bolting them in...........Getting close.......Here are some more pic's....

The skills that you guys have amazes me; you can take a car completely apart in your garage, and make it look like brand new. I am struggling to replace the interior on my 1969 Corvette without making it look like too much of a "hack job".
Car looks great; I always look forward to updates on this car amd Steve's Trans Am restoration.
