Ken,
If there was slight surface rust in the nook and crannies, like between spot welded floor supports, I'd suggest spraying a rust converter, like Permatex Extend in all those areas. It will convert the iron oxide into iron sulfate (black), which will never again allow moisture or oxygen to reach the hidden metal. You can paint right over top of it, no prep. Verne

Verne [/ QUOTE ] Verne......What looks like rust is actually the residual red dirt from the area that the car came from....there is some very light surface rust and I'll be wiping everything down with Metal Prep that I got from the Local "Strip Right" dealer just to be sure...... OK Ken, Just trying to help. I couldn't tell from the picture just what I was looking at in those little areas. You're doing a nice job, and I agree, that really is the fun part. Every time you make something a little better, it puts a smile on your face. Most people will never see the results of all that work, but YOU will know and it will keep that smile on...
