Hey guys, I know Darren and called him yesterday about this car. He knew nothing about it. He is building another custom 69 and is putting a ZL1 engine in it but the engine he bought came out of Wis and it has a replacement block not an original out of a real car. He is not a restorer and has no interest in original cars so where this story came from we don't know. If you want to verify this, call Kelly in Omaha and ask him. There is only 1 ZL1 around here and it is the rebodied #22 that hasn't even been started to be restored and is not for sale. Frank

Wow. I got the story from a friend is Mississippi, who had lunch with Darrens brother (works for the FBI or some such?) who said that Darren had the Zl1 resto on a web site. He (the friend, Don 'Mr Camaro' in Biloxi) is not web savy and wanted me to find the site so He could take a peek at it.
Guess it's like that class experiment, by the time it gets to you, it's different that what was said. I saw this thread, and thought it might be the same car. Sorry if there was any confusion.
