I have a 95, and I absolutely love it. I get more people stopping to talk to me about it than any other car I've owned, and I've had a lot of musclecars. It's quiet, fast, and more practical than any SUV out there, and, after the installation of a few odds and ends, (Hotchkis swaybars and LCA's, programming, Bilstien shocks, etc) is really fun to drive.

I bet they are nice cars, but I will say that they are built sloppily with poor design execution. I had a 1996 Impala SS that I absolutely loved, except for all the quality problems that I and others had. Things like digital odometers that stopped lighting, pinion seals that failed, intake manifold seals that failed, a carpet that wore out prematurely, an ignition switch that needed replacing, a "clock spring" (allows you to honk the horn while the wheel is turning) that failed, and the list goes on and on. And this was all BEFORE 40,000 miles!!!! Oh, and did I mention the floor pans that appeared to be raw steel that got rusty right away??? Unfortunately, these cars were very poorly built.

wow,$7700 bid on a station wagon that was probably bought for $800 at the municipal auction.

I thought everyone was now calling these "crossover vehicles"
That way the guy who spends $50K on his Infinity Station Wagon can feel better. ![]() |
